Update 8/17/22:

It’s here!

A great day for CLC in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso! Their 2006 Toyota HiLux has finally arrived!

With a huge thanks to everyone who has contributed with prayers and finance – or both! We are so thankful that God has provided such a wonderful tool for the ministry. Luc & Gérard have travelled many, many kilometers in Burkina Faso to visit the churches – without a suitable vehicle like this. May the LORD now multiply all that has gone before, in terms of effective and far-reaching ministry.

This group of four have prayed and dedicated the vehicle for the Lord’s use. May He always protect and guide as our team can much more effectively reach many more cities and towns with supplies of excellent Christian books and Bibles!

How do you reach people with the Gospel when it’s almost impossible to reach them physically?

Sami Luc Noufé wants to bring God’s Word to the people of Burkina Faso. He is the director of CLC Burkina Faso and oversees the bookshop in the capital city of Ouagadougou – one of the only locations in the country where people can acquire Bibles and Christian books.

Burkina Faso book shopDespite terrorist activity against Christians in the country, there is still freedom of worship, and God is moving! The church is growing, and so is the need for discipleship that can come from sound doctrine and good books.

But the rough interior and unpaved roads make it incredibly difficult for people to travel. It would be a long, dangerous, and expensive journey for most people to visit the bookshop.

What if the bookshop could come to them?

“This ministry of evangelising and bringing Christians to maturity in their faith in the LORD, must be accessible to everyone, everywhere in Burkina Faso. This is our vision, our wish and our prayer.”

Sami has an idea.
But he needs our help to make it possible.

If the bookshop could acquire a sturdy, reliable vehicle, his team could make regular routes into the interior to provide a steady supply of Bibles and literature where people currently have little access to these materials.

“We would use the vehicle…to set up book tables in churches and we would also use it…to bring books and Bibles to conferences, conventions and camps.” says Sami. “In a word, we want to bring the bookshop to those who cannot come to the bookshop – because for us, this ministry of evangelising and bringing Christians to maturity in their faith in the LORD, must be accessible to everyone, everywhere in Burkina Faso. This is our vision, our wish and our prayer.”

Burkina Faso VehicleFor $22,000, the Burkina Faso team would be able to purchase the vehicle they need (including freight and customs fees). For $22,000, the growing body of believers in the country can have better access to sound Christian teaching.
